Notice - Georgia Adopts New WCIO Codes for COVID-19 Pandemic

The WCIO has updated the Injury Description Tables that are used by the IAIABC for EDI claims reporting in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Effective April 5, 2021, the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation adopted the new code for DN0035 Nature of Injury Code (#38 – Adverse reaction to a vaccination or inoculation).  For the Cause of Injury Code DN0037 use #82(Absorption, Ingestion or Inhalation, NOC). Trading partners may begin sending the new codes as needed.
