Great news for Drug-Free Workplace Program (DFWP) Participants!

In alignment with the Governor’s vision of a streamlined, accessible government that leverages technology to best use limited state resources, the Board continues to maximize its use of technology to enhance and expand our customer service initiatives.  Accordingly, effective October 29, 2026, you will be able to register, renew and pay electronically for your Drug-Free Workplace Program certificate via the Board’s newly revamped DFWP online portal. 

By registering (or renewing) online and paying by credit card or ACH payment, you can get your certification promptly by email rather than waiting to receive it in the mail.

As part of the Board’s ongoing commitment to modernizing our processes and improving overall user experience, DFWP participants will also be able to quickly review & update company contact information and confirm certification status (including the ability to view and print your certificate) using the self-service features of their new dashboard.

Participants will continue to have the option to submit the application and/or renewal on paper by completing a fillable PDF form, printing and mailing it to the Board, along with a check for payment of the certification fee.

Current participants will receive an email with further information and instructions on October 29, 2026.
