Mediator

Jim Tucker

James F. (“Jim”) Tucker, Jr.  is a graduate of the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. He came to the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation in 2022 after seventeen years in the general practice of law representing individuals and businesses in a variety of civil matters, primarily workers’ compensation defense of self-insured and insured employers. Prior to attending law school, he worked eight years for a large poultry processor, first as an hourly production worker and then supervisor. He has an undergraduate degree in Spanish and is a fluent Spanish speaker after having lived for two years in Chile.  His experiences provide a well-rounded ability to analyze and understand the legal positions and concerns of all parties at mediation. He is available for in-person special set mediations in Northwest Georgia, and anywhere in Georgia via Zoom. Mr. Tucker can be reached at [email protected].
