Board Tightens Security

In the wake of the recent Fulton County Courthouse tragedy numerous changes have been made to further enhance security at the State Board of Workers' Compensation headquarters and field offices. These changes will provide a higher degree of safety and security to the Board's staff and visitors.

Melinda Vigna, Director of the Enforcement Division at the Board wants to remind all visitors as well as attorneys and their clients that absolutely no weapons of any kind are allowed on the Board's premises. This includes firearms, defensive mace/O C sprays and pocket knives. Everyone, including attorneys are required to pass through magnetic screening as well as having all briefcases and handbags searched prior to admittance to Court.
