Settlement Division Updates
THE PROCESSING OF STIPULATED SETTLEMENT AGREEMENTS
ICMS enhances many aspects of filing a workers’ compensation claim with the Board. For example, on-line filing of forms and motions is faster than doing so in paper. However, on-line filing of documents does not impact the reading and reviewing of the filed documents which must still be done by the Board staff. To facilitate the processing of your stipulated settlement agreements, ensure you have complied with Rule 15 in its entirety or the approval of your stipulated settlement agreements will be delayed and/or the agreements may be rejected.
The Board has agreed to move a position from another division into the Settlement Division effective July 1 to process stipulated settlement agreements. It will take several weeks to train the employee but she is familiar with ICMS so that will enhance our training of her. In addition, other Board Divisions assist with approving stipulated settlement agreements as their workloads permit. As always, we will continue to work with you on a case-by-case basis if you provide documentation as to why a stipulated settlement agreement should be reviewed ahead of other agreements. Thank you for your continued cooperation as we work to improve our service to you.
